About

Christian Maier Smith is a photographer working across portraiture, documentary and editorial photography. His work is driven by an interest in people, observation and the moments that happen between intention and chance.

Alongside commissioned work, his personal practice explores memory, place and the everyday, often through light, shadow and the relationship between people and their environments. His wider practice includes street photography, abstraction, collage and alternative photographic processes including wet plate.

His approach is shaped by neurodiversity and a curiosity about different ways of seeing.
